龙飘飘原名许秀春，我国台湾人，但在马来西亚发展的时间较长。 龙飘飘所出版过的唱片数量，在国内歌坛是个罕见的数字，她从没有认真计算过，不过，国内、外发行的唱片数，已不下一百张了。 但在龙飘飘而言，数字已算不得什么，她现在所在意的，已经不是数量的增加，而是质的提升。龙飘飘是土生土长的台湾人，在南部乡间，她渡过了简朴而快乐的童年。不过，由于她一年里总有大半年的时间游唱国外，因此，国人均视她为“异乡歌手”。娇小玲珑的龙飘飘，却有着吉普赛女郎的个性，出道歌坛后，她总是一个国家又一个国家的到处去玩、去工作。然而，在龙飘飘一本又一本的行程记事本上，密集的出国记号让她比候鸟更不定时，因为她在同一个地方有呆上二个月的记录。在东南亚，龙飘飘是个市场性宠儿，十多年来，她已有四十几张的作品问世，而在欧洲，也能买到她的专辑，而且“龙腔”在侨界是段动人的“乡音”。
