Frances Bean Cobain, also known as Franny, was born on August 19, 1992, and is a singer. As the only daughter of Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love, she has some pretty impressive godparents. Michael Stipe, the bald lead singer of R.E.M., is her godfather, and her godmother is the famous Hollywood actress Drew Barrymore. Talk about a talented bunch! After her father passed away when she was just two years old, Frances spent her early years in California. At the age of thirteen, she started giving interviews to the media, discussing her late father and her complicated mother. According to Courtney Love, Frances inherited "a sweater, a guitar, and the lyrics to 'Smells Like Teen Spirit'" from her dad. In fact, Frances personally selected the album cover for Nirvana's 2005 compilation album, "Sliver: The Best of the Box," as reported by Rolling Stone magazine.
